I’m Jessica Nichole, a writer, photographer, and traveler drawn to beautiful, quiet places where nature, design, food, and human craft meet.

I travel slowly. I like having enough time to notice the architecture, wander into a café, learn what grows nearby, talk to the person behind the bar, or spend an afternoon with a book and nowhere else I need to be. I’m especially drawn to places that feel thoughtful rather than manufactured—where the landscape remains part of the experience and you can still see the hands, traditions, and stories behind what has been made.

Travel makes me more observant. Somewhere between a glass of wine, a beautifully designed room, and a long walk through an unfamiliar place, I inevitably discover something worth remembering. Sometimes it’s about the place. Sometimes it’s about myself. Often, it changes the way I see home.

I created Simplie Golden because I love turning those discoveries into stories. With my pen, journal, and camera nearby, I document the places I visit through writing and original photography—capturing not only where I went, but what made the place worth noticing.
